The Czech Republic was the first country that I visited during my study abroad semester in Vienna. I only went for two days but that was certainly enough time to spend in Prague. I went to Prague with my friend from Canada whom I just met because we both studied at the University of Vienna. We took a Flixbus from Vienna to Prague and it took about four hours. We checked into a beautiful Airbnb that was only about a ten minute walk from the Bus station. After settling in, we headed out into the city to explore. The architecture in Prague is quite beautiful and intricate. One of the most famous locations in Prague is the Charles Bridge. The view from the bridge is gorgeous. The city is filled with old cathedrals, such as the St. Vitus Cathedral, and castles, like Prague Castle. Another very famous attraction in Prague is the John Lennon Wall, which is a wall that is filled with Lennon inspired graffiti. One of my favorite parts during my trip to Prague was the food. I tried this bread-like pastry, called a trdlo which is dough that is wrapped around a cylinder and then fried. The inside can be filled with ice cream, chocolate, and other sauces. My first trdlo was coated in sugar on the outside and brushed with white chocolate inside. My second trdlo was filled with vanilla ice cream. This probably was not the best idea because it was absolutely freezing in Prague at this time. I have never been so cold in my life. I was taking picture around the city and my phone actually turned off and would not turn back on because it was so cold. Thankfully, we used my friend's phone so we were able to navigate the city. I did not really get to interact with many people from the Czech Republic because my time in Prague was quite short. I would definitely go back to explore other cities in the Czech Republic.
