My Experience:

When planning my research trip to Norway, I specifically scheduled so that I would have time to stop in Denmark before heading back to Vienna. To be honest, I was quite underwhelmed with Denmark. I guess I was so blown away by the beauty of Norway, so Denmark had difficult competition. I stayed by myself in an Airbnb in the out-skirts of Copenhagen. I visited the Nyhavn which is the famous canal and harbor with all the colorful buildings and docked boats. This area was filled with tourists and bikers. Bikers.... so many bikers. I have never seen so many bikers in my life. I felt as though the bikers took priority over automobiles and pedestrians. Copenhagen is also famous for the bronze statue of the Little Mermaid. Like the Mona Lisa, there were hundreds of people standing in front of the statue trying to get pictures. I did not really interact with any Danish people or eat Danish food. I had issues with my credit card and ended up eating some junk food at a 7/11. Denmark was cheaper than Norway but still very expensive.

I am sure that Denmark has a lot more to offer but I probably will not be back for a while.
