My Experience:

Ahhh Switzerland. Switzerland is by far one of my favorite countries. My first time traveling to Switzerland was in 2014 with my high school group. We went from France to Switzerland. We visited the city of Lucerne. Beautiful is an understatement. The water was so pure and clean and the landscape was absolutely gorgeous. I toured the city and was able to see the Chapel Bridge, Lion Monument and Weinmarkt fountain. After touring, I went to Mt. Titlis. We took a snow lift up to the top of the mountain where I was able to walk across a sky bridge and go into an ice cave. This experience is one that I will never forget.

My second trip to Switzerland was in 2017 for my chocolate research project. The first city that I went to on this trip was Zürich. I really loved Zürich. Everything was just so pretty and clean. This was also my first time ever navigating public transportation by myself. Surprisingly, everything worked out fine. Everyone was very nice to me and I was able to communicate in German.

After Zürich, I traveled to Geneva. Geneva is a French speaking part of Switzerland so I did struggle a bit when getting around the city. Geneva is also very beautiful, especially the lake. I did not find much else to do in Geneva besides walking around the lake. Both Zürich and Geneva had very high end shops that I could never afford. Geneva was the city in which I had the most success with my chocolate project. I interviewed the owner of one of the premier chocolate companies in Geneva and was able to go behind the scenes in his shop.
